In Memory of Joe Nelson
Donation protected
Joseph “Joe” Nelson, 56, of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, died at his house in Shapleigh, Maine on Thursday, April 22nd, 2021.
In 1997, Joe founded Nelson Real Estate, Inc. which he ran for 14 years until 2011 when he joined The Bean Group as an Associate Broker. Joe became known as the “Multi-Family Man” and although he was modest about his real estate success, Joe was one of the top-selling multi-unit realtors in the Seacoast throughout his career. Though Joe loved his career in real estate, his greatest joys were his daughters, Jillian and Alexa. He loved attending Soap Box derby races with both of the girls, as well as their sporting events such as cheerleading, gymnastics, field hockey, and horseback riding.
In 2017, Joe purchased land in Shapleigh, Maine that made him feel like he was “a kid again”. Joe loved renovating his pond house and Alexa especially loved helping with the finishing touches. He cherished the memories of all friends and family, especially his daughters visiting, enjoying drinks by the fire, hitting golf balls, fishing for trout in the pond, cooking, 4-wheeling, observing wildlife, smoking the occasional cigar, walking on nature trails nearby, and listening to country music.
Donations will be given to the family to assist with education expenses as Joe’s daughter, Alexa, will be entering her second year at the University of New Hampshire this Fall.
