In memory of Jodi Chapman
Donation protected

We are asking for help to cover part of the costs of her memorial, afterlife expenses, animal care, shipping of personal belongings in Florida (her family is in California), travel costs and other unexpected things.
Jodi's family and many others are very saddened by the unexpected loss of a wonderful soul. Jodi left this planet a better place. She inspired, helped, shared, created and loved so many people and animals in this lifetime. Some say her spirit was too bright for this world. We miss her immensely.
Jodi has been involved with over fifty nonprofits since her first volunteer experience with the Humane Society at twelve years old. She was an empath, INFJ, caregiver, advocate, and activist, who focused on LGBTQA+, homelessness, mental health stigma, animal rights, environmental preservation, feminism, food waste, and chronic disease. She was proud to be a Crisis Text Line Crisis Counselor, Wisdo Helper, Data Analytics student, and twenty-year vegetarian.
In 2013, she unwittingly founded In Need Knits and became obsessed with GISHWHES. In 2015, she supported 48 Kickstarters. The following year, she was noted as a Guinness Book of World Records Participant. Her life-molding battles include sixteen years of Multiple Sclerosis, chronic pain, migraines, seizures, a recent cancer diagnosis, and surviving domestic violence.
Though she had yet to discover her artistic niche, she enjoyed experimenting with different mediums, encouraging creativity, and was a firm believer in art as therapy and the heart of community. Her favorite mediums include perler beads, urban photography, upcycled wood work, framed collage art, embroidery, coloring, and the art of words.
Jodi made notice that the family and friends in her life were abundantly weathly in HEART but not of money. Having said that if you were considering sending something such as flowers, we ask that in lieu of that you donate to this fund. We sincerely appreciate any and all donations that will assist with this devastating loss. Should there be any additional funds, they will be donated to one of Jodi’s adored charities.
Please feel free to share your stories and memories of Jodi here or on her Facebook page. We will be having a memorial in Ventura on Saturday, June 29th. We will keep everyone updated on the time and location of the memorial. Everyone near and far is welcome.
We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to read this and by providing support in whatever is within your means.
With humble gratitude and love,
Jodi “Jo” and Family.
