It is with heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of our dear John Marino, JJ. Those who knew him know there are no words that could ever fully capture the incredible man he was — a devoted father, a loyal friend, and a light in the lives of all who were blessed to know him.

For nearly 29 years, JJ served with honor and dedication as a Hollywood police officer, protecting and serving his community with integrity, courage, and compassion. His commitment to others didn’t end when his shift was over, it carried into every part of his life, most especially into his role as a father.

Above all else, JJ’s greatest pride and joy were his wife and his three amazing boys. Every choice he made, every sacrifice, and every ounce of his love was poured into ensuring they had the best life possible. He lived for them and his dedication was unmatched.

In the wake of this unimaginable loss, we are starting this GoFundMe to honor JJ’s life by supporting what mattered most to him: his wife, his sons and their future. All donations and proceeds will go directly toward the boys’ education, growth, and well-being, helping to ensure they have every opportunity JJ dreamed for them.
