It is with tearful eyes and a broken heart that I write this message. On July 4, 2025, there was a sudden accident, and my wonderful, kind-hearted cousin, Jimmy Fortunato, lost his life. This is devastating news to all who knew and loved him. Jimmy is survived by his beautiful wife, Sara, his adorable daughter, Everley, and his second daughter, Abigale, who is expected in August.

Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting Jimmy would tell you what an incredible person he was. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need, offer a listening ear, a kind word, or a silly joke to make you smile. Many of you probably remember him from his days in school at either Our Lady of Fatima or Ridley High School, where he proudly presented the morning announcements as "Jimbo-Slice." Since then, he had started a beautiful family, which was short weeks away from growing further.

There are no words to begin to express the devastation we are all experiencing. Jimmy was a fantastic father and was more than excited to bring another baby girl into this world. With his 30th birthday only a few weeks ago, no one could have foreseen his leaving us to be with our Lord so soon. I am here today to start this GoFundMe account on behalf of Sara to help with future expenses and ensure stability for her and their children. No one should experience what they are going through, so any amount that can be offered to help take the additional financial burden off of her shoulders would be appreciated.

The funeral will be at Trinity Baptist Church on July 11 at 11am.. Thank you for all the love and support during this difficult time.
