My name is Curtis Martin, and I am opening up this GoFundMe to support my father Jim's wishes to accept donations to my mother, Carol, for the care of my disabled brother, Ben.

Dad unfortunately passed away this week, just shy of 80 years old, after a lengthy battle with illness. His life was tough and he worked extremely hard over the years to make sure Mom and Ben would be taken care of if anything ever happened to him. His number one priority was always Ben's care, and he made many sacrifices to provide as much support as he could.

He touched the lives of many people throughout his life, and he found joy in fishing, hiking, being among nature, and sharing stories with friends. He will no doubt be missed by many, and I'm sure he misses you all too. Since I was a kid, he's told me countless stories of the friends and family who have made impacts on him, both big and small. And of course, the antics he got into with his buddies growing up. He was always very fond of those memories.

In true Dad fashion, he left us detailed instructions on his wishes. In lieu of flowers, he'd like for anyone interested to send money to my mom Carol for Ben's continued care. Typical... even in death, he's still more concerned about others than himself. That's just the way he was.

GoFundMe requires setting a goal, but we don't really have one. We just need this in order to have a way to accept donations. So don't feel the need to give more than you feel comfortable with.
