In Memory of Jesus "Chuy" Jacobo
Donation protected
On Sunday June 10th, 2018 we lost a member of our work family in a tragic and unfortunate accident. Chuy and some friends, including his brother Mike Castro, who also works at HPS, were out at Dumont Dunes. Chuy had an accident that left him unconscious, there was no immediate cell service, but they were able to make it to an area with reception to call for help. Mike and his friend performed CPR for an exhausting 45 minutes it took for help to arrive, but sadly Chuy did not make it.
We are not the only ones grieving this loss of a great young life. At 33 years of age, Chuy leaves behind a wife and 2 children - a 5 year old son and 10 year old daughter. He was a Veteran, husband, brother, son, friend and co-worker to many who loved him. We will greatly miss him and have been grieving this tragic loss alongside his family, friends and all those who knew him.
Mike and Chuy were not only brothers, but also best friends. This is a difficult time on so many levels. Please keep Mike in your thoughts and prayers for what he had to go through and for his healing through this process.
I also work at HPS with these guys and want to thank everyone who has offered assistance and condolences - it's wonderful to see all of the lives he touched and what he meant to people! We have had a lot of people already donate on behalf of his family and wanted to set up this GoFundMe as another option for those who want to offer their monetary assistance. All of the money we raise will be given directly to his wife Cinthya in honor and memory of Chuy to help with all of their expenses. If you are at our UCSD jobsite, please feel free to stop by my office also. I also have cards if anyone would like to send the family a handwritten message.
Services are anticipated for this week. Please keep the family close to your hearts as they deal with this.
