Today we laid you down to rest. To say that I’m going to miss you dearly would be selling it short of the void that has been placed upon our family. I’ve always believed that time heals all wounds but in this case I don’t think any amount of time will ever mend how I feel to come home and not see you. You were an amazing human being who’s selfless acts touched the lives of many. You taught me many life lessons and I thank you for each and everyone of them. I’m going to miss your smile, your laughs, our talks. But most importantly I’m going to miss you. I’m going to try my best to adjust to not having you around because I know you’ll want to see me smiling. So to you Father, I promise to give 100% in everything I do to carry your legacy and this family forward. I hope I make you proud. 

Rather than saying goodbye today, I whispered, “see you later” because I know we will be together again in eternity. Until then, I will keep you close to my heart through our countless memories. I Love You, Dad! Rest easy my King
