In memory of Jessica 'Kermit' Solomon
Donation protected
I've been putting this off, putting it into words, asking for help, every time I do it's like learning she's gone all over. My cousin Jessica Solomon passed away at 43 on Sunday, August 6th from a very aggressive cancer.
As close as we were, I've learned even more about her hearing stories from family and friends as we grieve and try to find glimmers of peace. What I know for sure is how big her heart was, how much she gave to those around her, and if there was something she wanted to do, she was going to figure it out. She was determined, kind, generous, and playful. She loved to travel, the beach, photography, her plants and her cats. But more than anything in this world, she loved her eleven year old daughter, Zoe, who just started middle school.
Losing Jessica was a shock. The doctors had a treatment plan and she was about to start her second round of chemotherapy when they said it wouldn't work. One week later she was gone. Due to complications and being in and out of the hospital the two months prior, she didn't have the chance to create a will or assign a power of attorney before her passing. Everything has naturally rolled over to her daughter, but she is a minor. We are asking for help so that we can pay attorney fees for managing her estate in probate and guardianship, as well as her memorial service. Her wish was to have her ashes spread at sea. Any Funds leftover would go into a trust for Zoes future.
Any amount of donation is greatly appreciated. If you can't give at this time, please keep her friends and family in your thoughts and prayers as we figure out our future without her.
