My name is Tim Connolly and I'm the golf course superintendent at TPC Potomac.  This page is set up in the memory of our friend and colleague Jerry Ashby who passed away on Friday April 9th 2021 following an intense battle with cancer.  Jerry was the Equipment Manager at TPC Potomac since 2010.  Over that time, he maintained a million-dollar fleet of equipment and oversaw all maintenance of mowers and vehicles during five PGA Tour events including the  2010 Senior Players Championship and the 2017 and 2018 Quicken Loans Nationals.  Jerry was an incredible problem-solver and he truly had a passion for seeing his hard work come to life on the golf course.   He was a sincere and kind person who touched many lives.  If you work in the turfgrass industry, volunteered for a tournament at Potomac, or have enjoyed the golf course as either a spectator or a player, please consider remembering Jerry by donating to this page.   All of the proceeds will go to Jerry's wife Debbie.
