Hi my name is Monica Skakacz. Jerrold "Jarek" Skakacz (age 62) is my father. I lost my father suddenly on Monday April 22nd, 2024. One day after my 37th birthday. Many people have reached out asking to help or wanting to do something for our family. We are asking for a donation towards his final expenses in lieu of flowers and cards. My father's final resting place will be in Poland, his home country. I am planning a memorial service here as soon as I have the details I will update everyone.

I am at a loss for words. I have yet to accept a world where my father is NOT here. I have not wrapped my mind around him not being here. Just the thought of never hearing his voice again, seeing him smile, or even hugging him is not comprehensible to me. My heart is missing a piece that is lost forever but never forgotten. I am already deeply missing my father. 

One thing that is bringing me some solace is that he was an organ donor. He was able to help 3 people get a 2nd chance in life.
