On behalf of the Sontay Vicente family, we are creating this fund to help them through the difficult and heartbreaking loss of their only daughter.

Jennifer Sontay Vicente was tragically struck and killed during her morning run on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. Jennifer was a loving 19-year-old young woman with a bright future that was cut far too short. She was disciplined and committed to her daily routine, always starting her mornings with a run. She had many dreams and had just graduated from San Rafael High School and was preparing to begin the spring semester at Marin College.

Jennifer was passionate about her faith and served faithfully with her local church youth group alongside her family. She dreamed of becoming a psychologist, a goal that was taken from her far too soon. Anyone who had the privilege of meeting Jennifer experienced her genuine and pure love — she always greeted others with a big smile and a warm hug.

Her sudden and unexpected passing has left her parents with an overwhelming emotional and financial burden, and we are reaching out to the community for support. Any donation, no matter the size, will help the family during this difficult time. The family’s wish is to send Jennifer back to her homeland of Guatemala so her grandparents, whom she loved dearly, may see her one last time.

Jennifer was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sontay Vicente and a devoted older sister. She and her 8-year-old brother were inseparable. She is survived by both parents and her beloved younger brother.

All funds raised will go toward funeral expenses and transporting Jennifer to her homeland.
