With heavy hearts, we share the unexpected passing of Jay Jacobs on April 12, 2025. Jay was the beloved husband of April and the proud, devoted dad to their sweet twin girls, Bella and Nola. His sudden loss has left an incredible void in the lives of everyone who knew and loved him.

Jay was the kind of guy who never met a stranger. He had a huge heart, an even bigger personality, and a serious talent in the kitchen. Jay didn’t just cook—he brought people together. From owning his own restaurant to running Ole Miss Dining, and hosting some of the best crawfish boils Mississippi has ever seen, Jay shared his love through food and created memories that will last a lifetime.

More than anything, Jay adored his girls. Being a husband and father was his greatest joy, and he lit up every time he talked about April, Bella, and Nola.

We’re raising funds to help cover funeral and memorial expenses, and to give April a little financial breathing room as she begins to adjust to this new reality. Any amount you’re able to give will go directly to helping this sweet family during such a difficult time.
