I recently lost my brother unexpectedly. He had not been feeling well for a while but thought it was just the flu or sickness that was going around and that it would pass. Unfortunately, he did not have health insurance at this time due to having been recently laid off from his job.
On Thursday morning, he began to feel worse and agreed to go to the hospital. When he stood up, he could not feel his legs, but he still made it to the car. His son-in-law was driving him to the hospital. He lives at least 40 minutes from any medical facility. During the drive, he began to feel like he couldn’t breathe. They pulled into an urgent care parking lot, where nurses were standing outside. At that point, Jason lost consciousness. His son-in-law and the nurses quickly pulled him from the car, and CPR was started immediately while 911 was called. Life-saving efforts continued when EMS arrived, but despite their best efforts, Jason passed away. His loss was sudden and devastating, and our family is still struggling to process the shock.
We are all devastated by his unexpected passing. Jason was a devoted husband and father. He would do anything for his family. He leaves behind a grieving wife and 3 children, as well as many unpaid bills, including rent. Both he and his wife had recently lost their jobs, which has made this loss even more overwhelming for his family.
I am asking for help to support his wife and children during this incredibly difficult time. Funds raised will go directly toward funeral costs and helping cover basic living expenses as his family works to grieve, heal, and find stability.
Any contribution, no matter the amount, is deeply appreciated. If you are unable to donate, sharing this page or keeping Jason’s family in your thoughts means more than you know. Thank you for your kindness, love, and support.
