In Memory of Jason Messick: Aid for His Loved Ones
Donation protected
Jason Messick, born June 13th, 1979, is known for his vibrant, out-going, and fun-spirited personality. As a valued member of the Oswego community, he is graciously missed by all after being fatally injured in a car accident on Wednesday, April 30th, 2025. Jason's carpet-cleaning business allowed him to meet and serve numerous people in the area, all of which agree that his contagious positivity, exuberant humor, and his "life-of-the-party" character not only made the world a better place, but will continue to do so even after his passing, as he has inspired that tenacity into everyone he's graced. Jason was a man who was impossible to ignore, and because of that, we are all brighter, more vast, and more welcoming. His unexpected death has shook us all in ways we never could have prepared for, but his memory is impossible to forget.
Jason is survived by his partner, Sara, their 11-year-old son, Caleb, his parents, Ron Messick and Carol Serrurier, his brother and sister, Robb Messick and Rhiannon Serrurier, and his step-father, Greg Serrurier.
All donations go directly to Sara and Caleb, to help them navigate this terrible tragedy and this difficult time. They are sincerely grateful for the support, prayers, and kind-words they have received thus far, and appreciate any more in advance. Jason lives on forever in each of us that knew him, and we encourage you to spread some laughter today, just as he would have. Thank you.
There will be a Celebration of Life on May 25th from 2-5 pm at the Brown Pub in Hinckley, IL. The address is 200 Somonauk Road, Hinckley, IL, 60520.
