On April 28th 2021, Jasmin Sadé Thomas was tragically struck and killed on I-95 after her vehicle ran off the road and struck the jersey wall due to a tire failure.
Jasmin was a bright light and a friend to all who knew her. She never met a stranger and had a positivity that radiated from her spirit. Always quick to laugh, she approached life with a sense of humor. She deeply loved her family and cared for her friends.
A graduate of Saint Gertrude High School and Virginia Tech, Jasmin held many class offices and leadership roles in her time in school. At Saint Gertrude, Jasmin was Student Council President and Secretary Treasurer, a member of the National Honor Society, Varsity Basketball Captain, in the Red Cross Club, Class Vice President, and a member of SPAAP (Spreading Positive Attitudes Among Peers.) At Virginia Tech, Jasmin graduated with a B.A. in Economics and was the President of Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity. She worked in finance in the D.C. area before moving back home recently to Richmond.
Unfortunately like many Americans, Jasmin was recently laid off due to COVID-19 and she had to make the hard decision to stop paying for her life insurance. Her family is kindly asking for donations for her funeral expenses. Any contributions are greatly appreciated to be able to lay her to rest in peace.
May the choirs of Angels come to greet her and speed her to Paradise.
(This campaign is on behalf of Rod White, Coron White, and Jeanette White, Jasmin’s father, brother, and grandmother who are her beneficiaries and will use the funds toward Jasmin’s funeral expenses.)
