Hi, my name is Shaylah.

My dad, Jarrod, sadly passed away unexpectedly at 37 years young today. We are beyond heartbroken and devastated. My younger brother and I would like to try help and do our best and find comfort in raising funds to honour his final wishes with a funeral and burial that reflect the person he was.

My dad was one of the most caring and selfless people you could ever meet. He always went out of his way to help others and support his children in every way he could. Everyone who knew him said he had a heart of gold one that often got the best of him because he gave so much of himself to others.

Jarrod passed away after an underlying heart issue caused a series of cardiac arrests that left him with a severe brain injury, leaving him unable to sustain life. True to who he was, even in passing he gave the ultimate gift through organ donation, he was able to save and change the lives of others. Knowing that would have brought him peace.

He leaves behind so much love and so much future with myself, my 15 year old brother Connor, his partner Kym, and a loving family and friends who were all able to be by his side in his final days and moments.

These last few days have been invaluable hard and absolutely heartbreaking for all of us, and this is something we never imagined having to prepare for being so young. Any contribution, no matter the size, would mean the world to our family as we try to give Dad the farewell he deserves. Even sharing this page would be deeply appreciated.
