In Memory of Jared Flick

Jared Flick  passed away unexpectedly on November 15, 2020. Throughout his 26 years on Earth, his love of music was such a large part of his life. He began playing the trombone in elementary school and had the opportunity to share his gifts with audiences both in the US and in Germany during his time studying abroad. He especially enjoyed jazz music, playing in multiple jazz ensembles and attending a summer jazz camp during high school. After graduation from East Juniata and even while paying off his own student loans, he continued to send a donation every year to help support students attending the camp. While the impact of his loss on his family and friends has been immeasurable, those closest to him are determined to honor him by ensuring his love of music lives on.

This fund will support two initiatives:
1. A direct donation to the East Juniata Music Boosters - The East Juniata Music Boosters is a nonprofit organization that supports music programs at EJHS. 
2. The development of the Jared M. Flick Memorial Scholarship - The family intends to develop a scholarship in Jared's name to support further education for students involved in music programming. Further information on the specifics of the scholarship will be made available in the coming months. 

Donations received by January 15, 2021 will be split as explained above and any funds received after this date will be fully in support of the development of the Jared M. Flick Memorial Scholarship. We thank you in advance for the love and support.
