In Loving Memory of Janine Klewin
Donation protected
Heaven gained the most beautiful angel on March 22, 2020, when our mother, Janine Nichetta Klewin, lost her courageous 5 year battle with breast cancer. Janine fought so hard and for so long, and was surrounded by her loving family until the very end. Our hearts are broken, but we are grateful that she is no longer suffering.
Janine was a shining light in the lives of everyone who knew her. She was truly the best mother, daughter, wife, and friend, and we were beyond privileged to know her. She taught us everything important in this life. How to treat others with kindness and respect. How to forgive. How to love. How to be strong. How to listen. To love music, embrace nature, and always have a sense of humor. Even as she battled such a terrible disease, she remained an eternal optimist. Janine was that rare individual who is beautiful on the outside, but more beautiful on the inside.
To know Janine was to love her, and her compassion, sincerity, humility, and kindness were unparalleled. She had a true zest for life and loved spending time with her family, sunny beach days, Foreigner concerts, and a great cup of coffee. There are certain people in this world who have an uncanny ability to connect with and leave an impact on everyone they meet, and Janine was one of those people. Her memory will live on in us and the many, many people she has touched throughout her life.
Our devastation is underscored by our inability to have a proper funeral or wake for Janine due to the coronavirus pandemic and restrictions on gatherings. However, her final wish was to have a party at the beach in her honor, a true celebration of her life. Perhaps this was always this way it was meant to be. So we are planning a memorial mass and celebration of her life this summer in Point Pleasant Beach, her "happy place", once the restrictions are lifted.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made towards a memorial bench on the Point Pleasant Beach boardwalk, a place near and dear to Janine's heart. Any additional contributions received will be put towards Janine's memorial celebration later this year.
“The most wasted of all days is one without laughter.” – e.e. cummings.
