Losing my brother Jamie to suicide has left a pain that words will never fully explain. Our family’s world changed forever the day we lost him, and every day since has been filled with heartbreak, unanswered questions, and the struggle of learning how to live without someone we loved.
Before his death, Men Matters was there for Jamie during some of the darkest and most difficult moments of his life. They gave him compassion, support, understanding, and a place where he was never judged for what he was going through.
We are raising money in Jamies memory to support the charity that stood beside him when he needed help most and also us as a family afterwards at the most traumatic time. No family should have to experience the devastating pain of losing someone to suicide, and no person struggling with their mental health should ever feel alone.
If sharing his story can help even one person reach out for help, or help this charity continue saving lives, then his memory will continue to make a difference in this world.
Every donation, will help Men Matters continue providing life-changing support to people fighting battles many never see.
So myself (Lesley) and my son Caleb will be taking part in the Zipslide the Clyde challenge on the 15th August , flying 100ft high, 1000 ft long across the Loch.
Any donations, no matter how small would be greatly appreciated to raise as much as possible for this amazing charity.
Thank you for reading, for supporting us, and for helping us honour my brother Jamies life with love, compassion, and hope for others.
lesley xx
