In memory of James Philip Walker

Donation protected
The morning of January 20th my father, James Philip Walker, passed away from heart failure complications. I am raising funds for his funeral service expenses to help offset the cost for my brother and I. Every donation helps. If you cannot donate, you can help support us by sharing this post on your social media pages to help provide a special memorial service so our family and family friends can say our goodbyes with ease. Thank you so much for your love and support through these difficult times.

Here are some words in remembrance of my father.

James Philip Walker was 65 years old. I find comfort in that he is no longer suffering. He lived an exciting life to say the least. He’s cheated death many times in some miraculous situations. When I was two years old EMT’s brought him back to be my father for 25 more years. He wasn’t perfect but he loved hard. He was reckless, although wise. He held a curiosity and wonder that always kept him learning and loving. I will always be grateful for the love he passed down to me. He was a poet and loved music. He would sing to me when I cried. His favorite song to play on guitar was Horse with No Name. He was always going out of his way to take care of his friends in need. He was stubborn but sweet. His humor shined through even the darkest of times. His strength and fortitude were impressive and inspiring. He always pushed me to be my best and encouraged me to go farther than he ever could. He taught me to be cautious and inquisitive and gentle and strong. He always accepted me fully and never passed judgment that wasn’t with love. His stories were ones some would never believe. The universe filled his life with magic and mine too. I will take our memories everywhere with me. I love you Dad. I hope you’re comfortable back in grandma’s arms.

Please understand this is a tough and busy time for me and my family. Thank you in advance for your condolences and love and support. There will be services held and that information will be shared with family and friends once organized. If anyone has any pictures or stories they’d like to share and have included in the services, please text or FB message them to me.
