On Thursday evening, February 25th, 2021, Heaven gained another beautiful soul. James (Jim) Poling passed peacefully surrounded by those that he loved the most.
Jim was a well respected, extremely knowledgeable, and invaluable member of the Huntington Ingalls Technical Solutions IT team. But, more than that, he was an honest, caring, and faithful friend that many considered to be "family." Of all the memories we have of Jim, two seem to stand out the most. First, and foremost, his work ethic and drive to see our team succeed in every task we took on. His dedication was beyond any that can be imagined; often working more hours than can be counted and even trying to help when his health was deteriorating. Second was Jim's sense of humor. No matter the situation, no matter the stress levels involved, Jim had a unique way of bringing levity to a group of individuals under immense pressure. His one-liner jokes or quick witted puns on words will be sorely missed.
Jim was truly one of a kind and will be irreplaceable. We already miss you terribly with the true weight of losing you still to come.
Jim leaves behind a beautiful wife and kids that sorely need our prayers, thoughts, and any other assistance you may be able to be provide. Please join me in donating to the family to help offset the cost of this enormous loss.
