***Memorial Fund for our parents, Bhargav and Mini Antani, to support an education NGO, Sai's Angel Foundation, co-founded by our father.
Hi everyone,
My name is Moha and I am 29 years old. COVID19 has wreaked absolute havoc in our small family of four - turning our world upside down in a very short time. I lost both of my parents to COVID within 15 days.
My mom (age: 57yrs) and dad (age: 62yrs) both tested COVID positive in September in Vadodara, India. They were asymptomatic and sought care early and almost made it through. However, things turned for the worse and in early October, my sister, Isha, and I lost our Mom to this virus. That delivered a shock unlike any other. Her cremation happened, without our Dad even knowing, as he was battling for his life in the ICU. Two weeks later, we lost our Dad. To lose one parent was heartbreaking, to lose both so quickly, has been tragic.
We were so hopeful that things would change but they evolved to outcomes beyond our control.
We are completely and utterly broken. It is an extremely difficult and emotionally taxing time for us - that our parents are truly gone. That we had to cremate them before they had a chance to be in-laws and grandparents.
While we mourn the passing of our beloved parents, we invite our friends and family to honor the work and dedication that our father has given to his education-based NGO, Sai's Angel Foundation. Sai's mission is to serve the less privileged sections of the society, specifically in the fields of Education and Healthcare in Vadodara, Gujarat, India. Their projects are designed to improve access to quality education for the students from economically at-risk sections irrespective of their religion, caste, class, gender and location. Though our father is no longer with us, he would be pleased to know that his work will continue on.
