In memory of Jake Timmis

Donation protected

The world lost a really special little boy on 23rd December. Aged just 12, Jake Timmis had done battle with asthma throughout his life, and it finally caught up with him just two days before Christmas.

Jake is the son of my cousin, Natalie. To say that Natalie - only in her 30s - has had to do battle in her life is no understatement. She's in remission from cancer, struggles with arthritis, and has had to fight so much throughout her life. She's a wonderful, dedicated mother, a really good human being, and yet she's now faced with the cruellest blow of all.

There's nothing any of us can do to give her what she wants most of all: to have her little boy back with her. I'm hoping, though, between us all we can at least lift a financial worry off her shoulders.

Natalie and Arther - at a time when finances are incredibly tight anyway - are likely to have to find a further £2500 for Jake's funeral. Furthermore, Natalie is determined that her little boy should have a headstone too. That's likely to add £1500 to the amount she has to find.

Can anyone help? If you have a spare £5, could you perhaps add it to the total here? In an ideal world, I'd love that this heartbroken family could have a small holiday at least to look forward to, but for the minute, anything that can help cover costs that no parent should have to consider would mean the world.

Thanks for reading. Thanks for your support. Please help spread the word and stay safe. x
