In memory of Jake Scalise
It's said everyday that 22 veterans succumb to their daily struggles. They each have a name and face. His name is Jake. He was a Marine, but most of all he was a son, a brother, a friend to many but most importantly a father to a 9 year old boy.
Jake struggled with PTSD and depression and tragically became a 22 a day statistic when he took his own life just days after Memorial Day -- A day made to honor all those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Please help me honor Jake's legacy and help his family, especially his son get the proper assistance with bereavement, to end this cycle and any funeral expenses to give this hero the proper funeral he deserves.
Any funds raised will go directly to his brother for costs directly related to Jake and his son.
We all thank everyone for your help, for your prayers, thoughts and well wishes. From the bottom of my heart on behalf of Jakes family thank you so very much.
