It is with a heavy heart that we let you know that my brother Ivan Gutierrez lost his battle unexpectedly with Covid. We kindly ask, if you are able to, please donate any funds towards the funeral service and future medical expenses.

The beautiful thing about Ivan is that he always welcomed everyone with open arms, and cared for them as their own. He too people in under his wing in their times of need, we know that everyone who had the opportunity to meet him, felt paternal love like no other.
A fierce and protective love that enveloped you to feel safe even in the darkest of times. He would push you to be the best you can be because he believed in you more than you sometimes believed in yourself. He would fight for you even when life got you down tired and beat.
A love that was expressed through witty jokes and extremely random nicknames. If he cracked jokes with you - you knew you had made it in with Ivan.
A love that was pure in heart, he gave so much of himself unconditionally and rarely ever asked for anything in return. A true testament to the immense love he had for God and himself, as the two greatest commandments states.
He was a loving son, brother, husband, and father. He gave so much of himself to our family, no matter the hour... he would answer every call and be there to provide support however he could. He was like a father to his siblings when they were young and he was like a father to all of his nieces and nephews, and even more-so to the start of the next generation of kids! His paternal love was overflowing and never ending.
Ivan was the steady rock in our family, the shoulder we all cried and relied on, and though it doesn’t seem like it right now amidst the chaos of losing someone so important to us - the foundation blocks he molded in this family are strong and together we will remain resilient because that’s how he has taught us to be. It is his lasting legacy and one we know he’d want us to continue honoring by moving forward without him.
