There are moments in life that change a family forever, moments that split time into before and after. For my sister, Jazmin Macias, that moment came when her sweet son, Isidro Josué Ramirez, earned his angel wings far too soon.

From the day he was born, Isidro showed the world what true strength looks like. He came into this life with a condition called gastroschisis, and although his journey was filled with challenges, he met every single day with courage far beyond his tiny size. For two long and difficult months, this sweet baby boy fought with everything he had. He held on with the purest strength, surrounded by the endless love of his parents and family. And when his fight came to an end, he was welcomed into the arms of our Lord and Savior, leaving behind a legacy of love, bravery, and hope.

Jazmin is a mother whose love has no limits. She has two other beautiful children who look to her every day for comfort, strength, and warmth. And through all her heartbreak, she still shows up for them with the kind of courage only a mother can carry. Her husband stands by her side, holding their family together with quiet strength, even as his own heart breaks.

Losing a child is something no parent should ever face. Nothing prepares you for the silence, the empty room, the unanswered prayers. And while love has carried their family this far, the reality of funeral expenses has added a burden no grieving family should shoulder alone.

Today, Jazmin and her husband need support any support to give Isidro the peaceful, dignified farewell he deserves. No amount is too small every act of kindness helps them take one step forward during the darkest chapter of their lives.
