In Memory of Isa Faizyar
It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved 9 year old angel, Isa Faizyar. Born on 3/24/2012, Isa was a beautiful boy with a magnetic smile, an amazing spirit, full of life and joy! He passed away 9 days after his 9th birthday on 4/2/2021 in the hospital with his family at his bedside.
At the age of 2 years old his amazing parents, Fatah & Naseeba, noticed that Isa, their only
child, began to develop some motor and cognitive concerns...ultimately Isa was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder known as MLD (Metachromatic Leukodystrophy). After being a perfectly fine baby boy until 2 years old, his condition began to progressively worsen. His condition lead to many other illnesses (loss of all motor functions, ability to speak, requirements of a GI feeding tube and severe weakness in his lungs), but looking at his beautiful smile everyday you wouldn’t see him show an ounce of it!
Throughout all of this, his mother and father never faltered for a moment, they gave him the best possible care. They literally travelled and searched the world for a cure and were told by doctors from various countries that there are no cures for his disease. Many doctors told them that the prognosis is poor and lifespan is very short. Year over year since the age of 2 Isa had many weekly stints in the pediatric ICU with his parents at his bedside day and night. Isa was a real fighter, he beat all odds, doctors told the family he wouldn’t make it past the age of 4-5. He made it just past his ninth birthday after spending the past three and a half weeks in the hospital and unfortunately couldn’t make it back home.
Every time he was admitted the nurses and doctors would be amazed by his physical growth and the type of care he was receiving at home. As his uncle, I can bear witness that his mother and father never slept a full night over the past 7 years, as Isa would have specific breathing machines and treatments from 11pm - 5am every single night. They adjusted their whole life and their home to provide the best possible care and comforts to Isa. They kept him clean cut, gave him the coolest outfits, and he always smelled so good!!! I’m a parent and I have never ever seen any parents like Naseeba and Fatah, the ultimate personification of humanity and selflessness!
We are not asking for donations towards any funeral or expenses. All donations collected will be donated to charities in honor of Isa. The family wants to build a school and a water well in his name for those in need and we will
be documenting the process, progress and final results.
May all your families and loved ones be blessed with health and love. On behalf of ALL of Isa’s family and loved ones, we thank you all for your love and support.
