In Memory of Hector Figueroa Curiel: Your Support Needed

On April 16, we got the worst news that my dad had stage 4 rectal colon cancer. At that time, we thought that was the worst day of our lives, but we decided we were going to fight until we couldn’t fight anymore. We had so much faith and hope in God that we could make it out. We were going to hold on to that faith, and no one was going to take it away. There were a lot of bumps in the road and so much we had to learn about this new journey. But as time went by, my dad was only getting worse, so I became my dad's full-time caregiver. I was going to do whatever it took to get him cured, and I believed I could. Doctors recommended hospice, and I wasn’t going to give up on my dad, nor was our family. So after having a conversation with my dad, we decided we couldn’t stop there; we wanted a second opinion. Our family decided to take him to the best, so we decided to go to UCLA, where we were hospitalized for about 5 months, and bills were stacking up, but all that mattered was him getting the help he needed. But unfortunately, we had a lot of problems with insurances, and we didn’t get the full help we needed. The worst day came, and we lost the battle. Hector Figueroa Curiel’s life came to an end on November 15, 2024. Heaven gained an angelito The best dad, husband, grandfather, uncle, and brother left us. We’re left saddened and would gladly appreciate any donations to help cover the hospital bills and funeral services. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Que diosito los bendiga siempre. Blessings to you all ❤️
