Harold Lewis Cole, III (Hal), was born February 14, 1961, and died suddenly on Monday,

December 26, 2022. Hal had an illustrious 40-year career selling trucks, the last 25 years were with his own dealership, Hal Cole Trucks, Inc.

Hal attended the Collegiate School, Trinity Episcopal and Elon University, where he was a proud Kappa Sigma. Avid golfer, boater, and sun worshipper, he was a longtime member of Virginia Power Boat Association.

Hal was a loving husband and father and is survived by his wife, Heather Smith (it was "day 4036"), daughters Greyson Cole and Carthen Smith, and son Hayden Smith. As well as his mother, Katie Cole, father Skip Cole (Judy), and his siblings Kathie Cole Rushin, Tom Cole (Lisa), and Andy Cole (Tanya), plus numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial and celebration of life will be held at VPBA on May 20, 2023. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the family. We are hoping to help ease the financial burden of Hal’s shocking and sudden passing.
