In Memory of Grandma Yoo

Last night on April 26th my grandmother was hit by a reckless driver and lost her life. As the eldest in my family, I will be helping my father plan and finance the funeral expenses. Due to the high cost of such a tragedy, I would appreciate any sort of support. My grandmother immigrated from South Korea to São Paulo, Brasil to the United States and worked as a care taker. I would love the opportunity to put my loved one to rest properly with any funds that may come out of this GoFundMe. She was always so gentle with me, especially when life had not been too kind to our family. She would speak to me with grace and softness that I missed out on in my childhood as I had to grow up rather quickly when my mother was battling Stage 4 ovarian cancer. She was stubbornly independent and never thought to retire even in her old age, I see where my father gets it now. It's painful to think about how her last moments were all alone as she had died at the scene. I also hold compassion for the person responsible for her death as they have to live with this tragedy for the rest of their life. If anything, I hope this GoFundMe serves those who read this as a reminder how precious our loved ones are as we all try to live a life well lived.
