In Memory of Gordon Marks

This page has been created for our dear friend Gordon Marks, who passed away this past weekend from complications due to the coronavirus.

Our goal is to provide support for his immediate family, and to recognize a selfless individual whose life brought so much joy to those with whom he worked and knew.

“Gordon’s time working with Hershey is the capstone on top of a successful career in the transportation industry. He put value in the importance of hard work, which was reflected in everything that he did.

Gordon’s dedication to the Hershey team for the launch of the Mobile Customer Insights Center has been instrumental to its success. Throughout his time with Hershey, Gordon’s involvement had an incredibly positive impact, and as a result, he left a lasting impression on the Hershey employees as well as their customers.

When his tour with Hershey was temporarily grounded in March 2020, he used this opportunity to dedicate himself to the renovation and grand reopening of Hershey’s Global Customer Insight Center. Gordon was instrumental in this project, going above the call of his position to lend a hand in any way he could.

Gordon was a man who was generous in all aspects of his life, offering friendship, advice, and sometimes even his lunch, to anyone who needed help along the way.

It was only fitting that Gordon’s generosity brought him to a position that gave him the opportunity to make so many children and families happy, even with the simplest act of handing out free candy at stops along the tour route.

Gordon created a lasting impact on the Hershey team that allowed his professional relationships to grow into lasting friendships. He lived his life for those around him, prioritizing hard work, honesty, and integrity above all else.”
