Gina "Gigi" Hernandez, born on May 15, 1962, in Brooklyn, NY, passed away unexpectedly, on October 5, 2024, at the age of 62.
Gina is survived by her loving daughters, Melanie Frank, and Kelsey Miranda, and her cherished grandchildren, Jaxson, Aria, and Mateo, who brought her endless joy. She also leaves behind her former spouse, Alexis Miranda, who remained a close presence in her life, her devoted siblings, Margie Ladd and Gregory Hernandez, and her dear mother, Marjorie Hernandez. Her legacy will also live on through her nieces and nephew, Leslie, Dana, Cameron, and Akita, her extended family, and her many friends and colleagues.
She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Hernandez, and her sister Donna Hernandez whom she loved dearly.
Gina dedicated over 20 years of her career to the United States Postal Service, where she was not only a diligent worker but also a beacon of kindness and positivity. She was deeply respected and loved by her colleagues and the many community members she served throughout the years.
Gina was the embodiment of creativity and warmth, bringing a personal touch to everything she did. Whether through thoughtful gestures or her radiant smile, she made each person feel truly seen and valued. Her presence lit up every room she entered, leaving behind a trail of joy and inspiration. Gina had a way of making everyone feel uniquely special, as if they were the most important person in the world, and her kindness was as boundless as her imagination. Many have said "Everyone needs a Gina in their life."
She will be greatly missed, but her memory will forever live in our hearts.
