Gil Guerrero Jr. April 1985-April 2026.
Son, brother, and father.

Gil Guerrero Jr. was the oldest son in the family, he grew up in Tustin, CA and graduated from Tustin High School in 2003. He was ambitious, intelligent and always had big plans for the future. As a young boy he had adopted a strong sense of honor, courage, commitment, and sacrifice that would guide him throughout his life-often incorporating military core values into his personal beliefs and foregoing opportunities in the spirit of holding true to his values.

Gil Jr. was a great friend and was deeply loyal to those he cared for. His friends describe him as loving and the kind of person you can count on in their hour of need. He had a gift of making those around him feel safe and dispelled any fears or worries they may have had, he had a quiet but strong, reassuring presence that looked after those around him.

As a brother, he always looked out for his two older sisters and his younger brother, Gil would never hesitate to step in for his family when he felt he was needed. He loved his father and mother.

He believed in hard work and maintaining a pragmatic lifestyle while enjoying the simple things that this world had to offer, cherishing time with his family, friends,
and with his best friend and loyal companion Duke. But most of all, he loved spending time with his only son, Daniel Guerrero.

Gil absolutely treasured his son Daniel and was an exemplary father. He made every effort and sacrifice to spend time with him and would never miss a chance to let his son know that he was loved beyond all compare.

Gil's dream was to never miss an opportunity and always be there for his son, to give him what he never had, to help him navigate the path of life and all its challenges, to be there for him and bring him up when he was down, to pass on all the wisdom he had, to endure and take on the burdens in place of his son, and to watch him grow for all the years to come.

Gil had many interests and intellectual pursuits throughout his life and would maintain a standard of excellence in everything he applied himself to. He spent many years as a respected veterinary technician and later went onto to obtain his Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering. He was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. His work ethic was admired and highly regarded by those around him, citing the thoroughness and care he put into everything he did.

Gil Guerrero Jr. will never stop being missed. He leaves behind his father Gildardo, mother Maria Elena, older sisters Claudia and Jannet, younger brother John, his partner and mother of his son Veronica, many friends, but most importantly his beloved six year old son Daniel.

Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside quiet waters.
He restores my soul;
He guides me in the paths of righteousness for the sake of His name.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil,
for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
