On the evening of June 19th, 2019 Gerald Kenneth Gonzales went missing in the upper Kern River located within Calkins Flats at around 6 pm; in an attempt to test the currents before  his family entered. Unfortunately, the currents proved to be too strong, causing his last sightings to be of him rafting away and never returning back. 

 Gerald was a Husband to Patricia, Father to Yessenia and Favian, and Grandfather to Camila who loved his family more than anything in the world. Unselfish, kind, hardworking, disciplined, unconditionally loving, and perhaps one of the most friendliest beings in this entire world. He would befriend anyone he'd crossed paths with, with open arms and the mightiest of smiles. Even with his grizzly full grown beard, the tenacity of his giant cheerful grin would give warmth to all those around him. But most importantly; his strength, determination, and his sacrifice to provide for his entire family. There wasn't a single pain or hardship he would not endure to make sure his family had a roof over their heads. 

There will never be anyone to be able to fill the shoes he left behind, but his family will carry his spirit with them and persevere in honor of him.

We are trying to organize this fund to pay for funeral expenses and to support his family. All donations will go directly towards Gerald Gonzalez's family. Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Please pray to God to give enough strength for his family. God Bless.
