On March 31st at 12:26 am my mother Garnet Jones was hit by a car and dragged four blocks from Fairwood ave. and Whitter st. to Rhodes ave. My mother was continuously dragged as the car made a left on Rhodes. The driver pulled into Driving Park Recreational Center and did circles until her body flung off the car. She was left for dead. When the police and the ambulance arrived at the scene of the crime she was pronounced dead on arrival. My mother was an animal lover she would feed all the little stray cats and dogs. But she loved God more than anything. Leaving behind ten cats and two dogs.
When i was a little girl we went to church every Sunday, instilling in me good morals and values. Every night she called me, telling me to go to church and read my bible. Im going to miss that. She kept me in my faith.
My moms last wishes were to be buried next to her daughter at the Saint Josephs Cemetery. It is a beautiful burial plot but expensive. That is why i need all the help i can get to raise the funds. Me and her grandchildren are the only ones left to carry on her legacy. It would be a dream come true if all my family can rest at the same place.
I wont be handling the funds personally all donations will be going to the Jerry Spears Funeral Home on West Broad st. in Columbus, OH.
Any donations help. If i can get this taken care of in a timely manner then i can move on and start my journey to recover and be a whole individual
