Fred Oliver Molling was born on September 19, 2023, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and died in his sleep on February 8, 2025. During those almost 17 months, Fred brought an abundance of life into the world, not only to his parents, Daniel and Claire Molling, but also to their family and friends. He was a very active boy and yet, once he was sitting in your lap, he would nestle right in and snuggle with the best of them. It didn’t matter who was holding him, he played no favorites. Any lap able to support his solid little body was good enough for him. And in return, he offered boundless charm.
However much you feel called to give to this fund, know that it will be used in ways that honor Fred and that support Daniel and Claire as they navigate this unforeseen detour in their life journey. Know also that Daniel and Claire will now avail themselves to other parents who experience similar detours in their life journeys. We live in an amazing community, and experiences like this only make us stronger as a community.
The name Fred means peace, and it is the peace of God that Fred leaves us with. Peace to you all.
