In Memory of Fay Sessions

Hi All,

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday with your families this past December

My name is Todd Sessions, and it pains me to write that we've lost our beloved Fay Sessions (Matthews). If you knew her, then you can agree with me when I say that she was one tough cookie, who fought her battles with cancer to the end with her head held high. I say "battles", because this was actually her second time being diagnosed. After her first diagnoses, we made it a plan to go more places and try new adventures.

One of our favorite adventures was when we celebrated Christmas in 2018 riding The Polar Express train in New Hampshire. The train carrying us through the winter wonderland, letting us forget the hardships in life and enjoy the moment of our love. And if you knew how life can work, we were soon to experience the worst car accidents that any of us were ever involved in.  Through miracle, Fay and I were able to walk out of that scary situation with bumps and bruises. But, if you looked at the car, you would have assumed worse.

Thinking about this Christmas, it's been more harder than usual. When her cancer started getting worse, it forced us to celebrate in Boston at Dana Farber hospital. We tried staying strong, we've been in this situation before, cancer fights back we fight back harder, but just after New Years, it was time to say our goodbyes.

With all of these medical bills and funeral arrangements, our family would kindly ask if you could help donate to lift some of the weight off of our shoulders. We are looking to cut down the medical expenses first then the amount for the funeral. Dana Farber has done a phenomenal job making Fay comfortable, and we'd like to see them compensated for their services that insurance was not able to cover.

If you would like to say any last words to Fay, January 16th starting at 1pm, Witty Funeral Home will be holding calling hours at 158 South Main Street, Orange.

The next day, a family service will be held at the Colrain Community Church on January 17, 2021 at 2 p.m.

In the spring, we hope to have a celebration of life if COVID has been under control.

Thank you again for all that have helped through these hard times. My family to yours wish you a happy and healthy New Year. Please stay safe.

Best Regards,
Todd Sessions
