In memory of Evanae

On 22nd August Evanae passed away after what had been a six-month battle for survival.  She was born on the 10th February with Down Syndrome and a heart condition called complete AVSD   and it soon became clear she would need open heart surgery.

Despite having multiple operations ( 4 in total and 3 in the space of 4 weeks) and spending most of those 6 months in Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Evanae put up quite a fight.  Evanae may have only been with us on earth for such a short time but she captured a thousand hearts and no more so than the heart of her lovely family which she leaves behind.

Our hope is to help Katy Clarke, Evanae’s mum, (pictured above with myself and Evanae)  by raising funds to help pay for the funeral and have that little extra to provide for a break for the family in order to get some rest and have some healing time.   I know Katy and the family, have a special place in the hearts of those from the wider community and it’s times like these where we all want to show our love and support and get behind them but often, we don’t know how.  So, Katy and family this is for you because we genuinely care and feel for your loss.
