In Memory of Eva Gomez

My mother, Eva Gomez, passed away on January 6, 2024. She was the strongest most incredibly loving and happy go lucky person I have ever known in my life. I was absolutely blessed to call her my mother & to learn how to be a mother from her. In the past few years she suffered from dementia and declined very rapidly. Putting her into a nursing facility was a huge financial strain on me. I unfortunately did not plan for my mother's final costs and this was all a surprise that it came so soon.

I want to have my mother cremated and for her ashes to have their final resting place at Vista Memorial Gardens, where my grandmother Manuela is & so many other beloved members of my family are. I would also love to have a memorial mass for my mother, followed by a "celebration of life" gathering to honor her. All my mother ever wanted was to be happy & to make others happy so I want to have a celebration to remember her joyfully, the way she would've wanted.

The cost for cremation & fees plus the deposit for the niche is just about $4,500.00, which unfortunately I do not have. The remaining cost of the niche is another $5K.

If anyone wants to or can contribute, no matter how small, it would help a great deal. So many friends and family have asked if I (or my daughter) need anything like food, etc... but honestly this is all I need, to be able to take care of these costs & then grieve my mother properly.
