An Angel that has walked this earth for 54 years known as Ermila Hernandez was called to heaven on August 27, 2020.

Ermila Hernandez was such a gentle beautiful soul. A loving daughter, mother, sister, spouse and friend who touched the lives of everyone around her.
She had a strong relationship with God and was a great representation of him. Her presence was the light in the room, her smile and laugh was contagious. She listened to everyone’s troubles and was there for every cherished memory and throughout the storms in her life; she still trusted in God and remained calm.

She left behind a loving son, Javier Lopez and her spouse Lorenzo.

And her loving family Mother Francisca, father Marino, 7 sisters Albina, Isabel, Francisca, Maria, Margarita, Cristina and Susana.

Ermilia was diagnosed with a rare condition called Gastric adenocarcinoma of fundic gland mucosa (GA-FG) and carried a tumor in her stomach. She was unable to eat for months and every time she tried it would cause her nausea and discomfort. The Doctor had scheduled an appointment for her to receive a feeding tube to get the nutrients she needed. It was about a couple of months after receiving the feeding tube she had got an infection and her spouse rushed her to the hospital. She was admitted to San Antonio Hospital and thankfully we were told she would be getting an upcoming surgery. Our family wasn’t able to see her due to the regulations of COVID. She was down to 70 lbs in weight. Last Wednesday the 19th, her son had went to talk to the physicians about what we thought was going to be her upcoming surgery. Instead, they said they couldn’t do anything for her. Her body was too weak to undergo surgery and Chemotherapy-would be to aggressive for her. They let Ermila come home last Saturday the 22nd for Hospice. Our family was thankful to have spent those last days with her.

Un ángel que ha caminado por esta tierra durante 54 años conocido como Ermila Hernández fue llamado al cielo el 27 de agosto de 2020. Ermila Hernández era un alma hermosa y gentil. Una amorosa hija, madre, hermana, esposa y amiga que tocó la vida de todos los que la rodeaban. Tenía una fuerte relación con Dios y era una gran representación de él. Su presencia era la luz en la habitación, su sonrisa y su risa eran contagiosas. Escuchó los problemas de todos y estuvo allí para cada recuerdo preciado y durante las tormentas de su vida; todavía confiaba en Dios y permanecía tranquila.

Dejó atrás a un hijo cariñoso, Javier López y a su esposo Lorenzo.

Y su amorosa familia Madre Francisca, padre Marino, 7 hermanas Albina, Isabel, Francisca, María, Margarita, Cristina y Susana.

A Ermilia le diagnosticaron una rara enfermedad llamada adenocarcinoma gástrico de la mucosa de la glándula fúndica (GA-FG) y tenía un tumor en el estómago. No podía comer durante meses y cada vez que lo intentaba le causaba náuseas y malestar. El Doctor había programado una cita para que ella recibiera un tubo de alimentación para obtener los nutrientes que necesitaba. Un par de meses después de recibir la sonda de alimentación, contrajo una infección y su cónyuge la llevó al hospital. Fue admitida en el Hospital de San Antonio y, afortunadamente, nos dijeron que la operarían próximamente. Nuestra familia no pudo verla debido a las regulaciones de COVID. Ella había bajado a 70 libras de peso. El pasado miércoles 19, su hijo había ido a hablar con los médicos sobre lo que pensamos que iba a ser su próxima cirugía. En cambio, dijeron que no podían hacer nada por ella. Su cuerpo estaba demasiado débil para someterse a una cirugía y la quimioterapia sería demasiado agresiva para ella. Dejaron que Ermila regresara a casa el pasado sábado 22 para Hospice. Nuestra familia estaba agradecida de haber pasado esos últimos días con ella.
