In Memory of Erin Walker and for her Family

Hello, my name is Nicholas Markel, and I made this fundraiser for my dear and beloved teacher, Erin Walker and her 3 year old daughter. I wanted to share my experiences with Miss Walker in a way that we can all remember her the way she is supposed to, positively.

 

Miss Walker was a fun, cool, and well-spoken teacher that provided insight on any topic I threw her way. She knew how to teach and make me feel accepted at the same time. I never left her room without feeling the overwhelming love and compassion she put not only into her job, but into her students as well. As a teenager who came out in high school, she was always able to really make sure that I knew my family cared about me, and that she did. I had always felt the utmost love and care from Miss Walker.

Miss Walker was the Queen Bee of the student council world at Central York High School, and as a freshman in high school, I was petrified of the idea of the club. However, I had won president and knew my duties, and had to "suck it up" and eventually meet her. I've never met someone that on the first day I have felt such an overwhelming sense of pride and determination from within them. That was until I met Miss Walker. She knew how to run a club, and I couldn't imagine it any other way. She was the best business woman, boss, and creative genius that student council had to offer. She let our creativity prosper, ideas flow, imagination run wild, and we all adored her for it. Sure, there were stressful moments with timing of events and fundraisers in the club, but when we looked at the shining light of what was Miss Walker, we knew she had our backs. I was able to learn a lot from her, and I'm sure most people, if not all that encountered her did to. She left the biggest impact on my life, and every students life. We love you, and miss you Miss Walker. Always in our hearts.

 

Join me and Central York High School in celebrating the beautiful life that the utmost amazing Erin Walker lived, and the impact she left on all of us. All proceeds go directly to her 3 year old daughter and to anything we as students can help with in regards to Miss Walker. We love you Miss Walker.
