Emma Mead was an incredible lady. She has an amazing daughter Lorna and a wonderfully supportive family who love her beyond words. Her death has left a massive whole in so many hearts. Emma was one of the leaders of The ACT Community (Approaching Cancer Together). In the ACT community we share our lived experiences and research on our journeys with cancer, with one another. We support, love and motivate one another. At times we are one another’s life lines. We show our community that you can live well with cancer. Emma has saved and prolonged lives. Her encyclopaedic knowledge was truly and gift, she spent hours on research and shared this knowledge without hesitation. Lorna and her family have kindly asked that any donations, in memory of Emma, go to ACT. We are not a charity, we are a community and we need funds to allow our community to continue and grow.
