In Memory of Emily: Support for Akasha
Donation protected
Hey friends. As most of you know, our dear friend and sister Emily passed on last night. Emily had a lot of friends, all of whom she loved and cared about deeply. She was forever sending out her love and light from Vermont to all of her friends across the country, and I’m hoping that we can all send it back to her now.
She leaves behind a strong and brave daughter, Akasha, who deserves to have time and support to grieve this loss without the burden of having to work to make ends meet. We are humbly asking all who have been touched by Emily’s love and light to contribute to this fund for Akasha. We will update everyone with details of her memorial as soon as we receive the information.
UPDATE from AKASHA:
Hello all, I want to thank everyone for the immense support, and for all the kind and thoughtful messages from so, so many people reaching out. I’m writing this update out as a way to reach as many of you all as I can. With so many messages, it’s been hard personally getting back to each person who’s messaged me, but I’ve been doing my best each day. With my whole heart I am truly so grateful and thankful for all of the support surrounding me, and for all the donations made on my and my mother’s behalf.
To answer the most asked question, I am all set to continue living at the home I’ve lived in for the past bunch of years. Everything is all set in that regard, and all the support from everyone has helped, and continues to help, towards keeping a strong foundation beneath me while I regain my footing. Currently, I am still in the process of getting things sorted out towards getting a date set for the memorial service, and I will be sure to have this page and/or Facebook updated promptly once a date is set so that word can be spread thoroughly.
To answer another big question, I am generally okay right now. I am at peace as my mother is without pain and has found peace as well. I of course have my own path forward when it comes to my grief, but I want to assure everyone that I have many forms of speaking to those who can help in that area. I’ve had many visitors in the past weeks, so I’ve been kept quite busy. The coming weeks will be more of getting things sorted that need to be- such as memorial service plans sorted-, along with getting my home cleaned up and my mom’s belongings sorted. I’m okay as I can be right now, and will of course ask for help from all those who have offered when it comes to the road ahead. Much love to all of you ❤️ ~ Akasha
