In Memory of Edwin Ajche - Support My Brother's Burial Fund

My name is Gustavo Ajche, and I have lived in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn for over 22 years. It is with profound sadness that I share the news of my younger brother, Edwin Ajche's passing on Monday, July 23, 2024, due to unknown causes.

Edwin Ajche emigrated from Chimenté Village, in the department of Totonicapán, Guatemala, to Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, at the age of 16 in search of better opportunities.

He lived in Bensonhurst for more than 14 years, graduating from International High School at Lafayette, starting his career as an electrician, and pursuing his college education.

Faith was Edwin's guiding light and driving force in pursuing his goals and dreams. He was an active member of various congregations, including Jóvenes Cristianos (Young Christians) and Iglesia el Camino (The Way Church). Recently, he fulfilled one of his greatest desires by joining Hillsong Church.

Edwin was passionate about reading, learning, and discovering new things. His kindness, enthusiasm, and dedication to his community touched many lives. His untimely departure leaves a great void in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who knew him.

In the midst of our grief, we are facing the difficult task of arranging Edwin's funeral and repatriation. I have created a fundraiser to help cover these expenses. Any contribution, no matter how small, would be deeply appreciated and would help ease the financial burden during this challenging time.

Mi nombre es Gustavo Ajche y he vivido en Bensonhurst, Brooklyn por más de 22 años. Con gran tristeza comparto que mi hermano menor, Edwin Ajche, falleció ayer, lunes 23 de julio de 2024, por causas aún desconocidas.

Edwin Ajche emigró de la Aldea Chimenté, en el departamento de Totonicapán, Guatemala, a Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, a los 16 años de edad en busca de mejores oportunidades.

Edwin vivió en Bensonhurst por más de 14 años. Se graduó de International High School at Lafayette, inició su carrera como electricista y buscaba finalizar sus estudios universitarios.

La fe era su guía y su motor para luchar por sus metas y sus sueños. Edwin formaba parte de varias congregaciones, como Jóvenes Cristianos y la Iglesia el Camino. En los últimos meses, cumplió uno de grandes anhelos al unirse a Hillsong Church.

A Edwin le apasionaba la lectura, conocer y aprender cosas nuevas.Su pronta partida deja un gran vacío en los corazones de su familia, amigos y comunidades.

En medio de este dolor, he creado este fondo para poder cubrir los gastos fúnebres y de repatriación. De antemano, agradezco su generosidad y ayuda en este momento difícil y complicado.
