In Memory of Edward Watt: A Tribute

Donation protected
  • Good Morning/Evening. I'm the granddaughter of Edward Watt. I just want to thank you all for being here today to help celebrate the life of our beloved grandfather. It's difficult to put into words what he meant to us, but I will try my best to honor him. Our grandfather was many things. He was a source of wisdom, strength, and love. He lived a life full of quiet dignity, strong values, and devotion to his family. Whether it was his advice or simply his presence, he taught us so much—not just through his words but through how he lived. He showed us what it meant to be kind, to show up for granted. He led by example—steadfast, patient, and full of integrity. Some of my memories are of the simple moments with him. He told stories from his younger days. Those memories live on in all of us. He loved deeply his family, his community, and he gave generously his time and laughter. He left a legacy not of material things but of love and values that will carry on for generations. While today we grieve, we also give thanks. We are thankful for the time we had with him.
  • Thank you, Granddaddy, for everything. You will always be loved. You will always be missed and will never be forgotten.
