In memory of Edward on his 5th birthday.

In May 2025, I learned the meaning of Repatriation. We were 2 hours into our family holiday in Tenereife when Edward suffered cardiac arrest after a tragic pool accident. Our lives will never be the same again but we are trying hard to get through for the sake of our daughter.

At the time, the Spanish authorities told us it could be 6 weeks or more before we could get Edward home. As if things couldn't feel worse in those first few days.

My brother back home was able to get in touch with Colin Bell from the Kevin Bell Trust and between them, everything was taken care of and we got home with Edward 6 days later.

I can't imagine the extra stress we would've had without their support.

Which is why I’m raising money to benefit Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.

Not that I need to explain myself.. but before May, Edward and I would talk about his 5th birthday, his cake, his friends and his party at Global. In fact he started talking about it the day after he turned 4!

His 5th birthday was supposed to be extra special because that's when he could join the Boys Brigrade, and being one of the older ones in his class he was excited to get there before the others. He would've taken a big box of buns to BB on his first night which would fall exactly on his birthday.

I can't do that now. But it didn't feel right to do nothing or ignore Edwards wishes. So with our daughter, some family and friends, we're having a playdate together at Global Adventures where Edward was almost a part of the furniture, a monthly visitor since birth, if not weekly sometimes!
