My name is Robert and I am Ed's brother. After secretly battling mental illness for most of his adult life, Ed passed away on January 19, 2024. I'm creating this page so anyone who is unable to attend his memorial service on February 3, 2024 can still celebrate his life by sharing stories, photos, and saying "hasta la vista Eddie."
"There are some people in life that make you laugh a little louder, smile a little bigger and just live a little better." My brother was one of those people.
My brother called himself Edpool because he was sarcastic and occasionally funny. He knew laughter was the best medicine, and he made sure we all had more than our daily recommended dose of Instagram Reels. His laughter was infectious, his heart was generous, and his spirit was unmatched.
He was a loving son, not the worst brother, a cool uncle, and an amazing friend. I find comfort in knowing that all of you loved my brother and that he holds a special place in each of your hearts. He will live on in our memories. On behalf of my family, we are grateful that each of you were in his life. Please share your stories and photos of Ed below.
We love you Ed.
P.S.: Ed forgot his wallet so any donations for his bar tab in the sky are greatly appreciated. For those of you who didn't have the pleasure of having a drink with him, he liked the really, really expensive stuff. For those of you who drank with him regularly, shhhhh. "Here's to the nights we'll never remember with the friends we'll never forget. 건배!"
Donations will pay for the funeral, any other expenses that arise for my mom in the coming months, and if possible a scholarship in his memory at his alma mater UNLV for students who want to make sure no one else has to suffer from mental illness alone.
