Our dear friend Edward Ivanov, a loyal employee and friend who had a heart of gold tragically passed away on Wednesday November 18th, 2020 at the young age of 35.
Edward loved health and fitness, gaming, collectables and art, working out, karate, food and above all was a valued friend and coworker.
Edward worked at adidas outlet 2013 in Niagara and was here for approximately 3.5 years before a big move to Ottawa and a transfer to adidas outlet 2016, in September 2020. He was a great Team Player, a hard worker and valued the relationships he had in our company. Edward left a profound impact on both teams.
Shortly after Edward's move to Ottawa, he had to offer his parents a huge amount of support. An only child of immigrants with no family in Canada, they finally managed to find a place near Ottawa, in Alfred, they could call home. Edward was helping his father navigate a difficult time and was the main support to ensure his father received the right services. He traveled continuously between the store, home, hospitals and appointments. Edward was the only driver in the family. His #1 priority was to support his parents no matter what and went above and beyond to do so. Unfortunately with Edwards passing his parents are in a difficult situation and need some support.
As a team who worked closely with Edward, we knew and understood not only how much he did for his family, but what he meant to them. His parents are now faced with the nightmare of no longer having their son with them, with no family support in Canada. We wanted to start this GoFundMe to help his parents as best as we can during this difficult time on behalf of Edward and a thank you to them for everything their son has provided our teams within the adidas communities of Niagara/Ottawa. We are hoping that any raised funds can help them ease any financial burden from this tragedy and help support his parents through the health challenges they are currently facing.
We are asking among our retail teams for immediate support to them. Our stock team in Ottawa lead by James Lister and Carter Holmes supported with their Manager David Baudequin will be overseeing the process and coordinating with his parents.
