In Memory of Dr. Una Ankrah

It is with very heavy hearts that we share the loss of a truly remarkable woman, Dr. Una Ankrah, our sister, who passed away on March 21, 2025, after a brave and relentless battle with cancer. Dr. Ankrah was a brilliant Forensic Psychologist with a passion for uncovering the truths of the human body and mind. Her intelligence, drive, and dedication to her field were truly inspiring, and she had an undeniable impact on everyone she came in contact with.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Dr. Ankrah was a vibrant soul who loved to travel and experience the world. She had an adventurous spirit, a love for life, and an incredible bond with our family and her amazing friends. Una was known for her kindness, her unwavering support of those she loved, and her ability to light up any room she entered. She was the kind of friend/sister who always showed up, no matter the circumstances.

Una is survived by her mother Duni Ankrah and her two sisters Odie Ankrah and Olivia Ankrah along with many friends and family. She predeceased by her father Danco Ankrah and her Step-Mother Suzanne McGinley-Ankrah. Her family and friends were the pillars of her strength throughout her courageous fight with cancer. Although her life was tragically cut short, my sister’s legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched, in her work, and in the hearts of everyone who knew her.

Dr. Una Ankrah’s light may have been extinguished too soon, but her love, kindness, and brilliance will forever be in our hearts. We are forever grateful for the time we had with her and the love she shared.

This GoFundMe has been created to honor her memory. Any contributions made will go towards funeral costs. During this incredibly difficult time, we are coming together to support our family with funeral expenses and any additional costs that may come up. Our goal is to ease the burden on her mother so she can focus on healing and remembering the beautiful life Una lived.
