In memory of Dr Tony Austin ❤️

Our dear Dad, Tony Austin has passed away, peacefully at the end of a long and interesting life. He's now with our lovely Mum, Rita. Dad did not want a funeral but my brother Paul and I did want to mark his death by raising some money in his memory. We have chosen to support a cause that meant a great deal to Dad for much of his life, professionally in his social work career and educationally with his PhD.

One in three people born in the UK today will develop dementia in their lifetime. Dementia robs people of themselves. It is the most devastating disease for those afflicted by it and their families. Dad lived long enough to see some treatments gain approval and some success in delaying onset. His hope was that in his children's lifetime, a cure would be found.

We would appreciate any pennies or pounds you can give. With grateful thanks from all the family to everyone who knew Dad, his friends and colleagues who he held in great esteem and affection XxX

UPDATE: we just wanted to thank every one who has donated so far. Your support is hugely appreciated ❤️
